The short version

Dear Wander is built on a simple principle: your data is yours. We don't collect it, we don't store it, and we don't sell it.

What data stays on your device

All of your usage data, breathing session history, app selections, and preferences are stored locally on your iPhone using Apple's on-device storage. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us or any third party.

What we collect

If you join our waitlist, we collect your email address through Buttondown, our email service provider. That's it. We use your email only to send you updates about Dear Wander. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Screen Time permissions

Dear Wander uses Apple's FamilyControls API to provide the breathing pause before your chosen apps. This is a native Apple framework that operates entirely on your device. We never see which apps you select or how you use them.

No tracking

We do not use analytics trackers, advertising pixels, or any third-party tracking tools on the Dear Wander app. The website uses no cookies beyond what is strictly necessary for functionality.

No accounts

Dear Wander does not require you to create an account. There is no login, no username, no profile. You download the app and use it. That's the whole relationship.

Third-party services

The app uses RevenueCat for subscription management. RevenueCat processes your purchase through Apple's App Store and does not have access to your personal data beyond what Apple provides for transaction processing.
